Our wholesale women’s workwear in black and white is perfect for transitioning from day to night with a few clever layering tricks. The key to styling monochrome pieces is to focus on contemporary prints – such as dogtooth checks, grid designs, stripes and polka dots – to add depth to outfits. Play with proportions, too, using longline and oversized shapes to mimic the French fashionistas.
Here at Whispering Smith, our design team looked to the Paris A/W catwalks when creating our new wholesale range; the monochrome trend was seen at Céline, Chanel and Lanvin. As we’re dedicated to interpreting high fashion trends into wearable looks, the monochrome trend seemed to translate perfectly into officewear.
In our new season collection, we layered longline black coats and gilets over white blouses, and added smart trousers for easy workwear looks. To keep warm on grey mornings or in the cold office air con, try our monochrome knitwear pieces – our crew neck jumpers layered over shirts, and our long sleeve polo necks with sleeveless cardigans would not be out of place on the streets of Paris.
