Our Responsibility

Ethical Trading

We are committed to ensuring our suppliers meet our ethical sourcing standards.

A significant number of our factories are registered with the Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) system and we are constantly working with many others to join this scheme. The Sedex system assists in the exchange of data on working conditions within the supply chain in a secure manner. It also helps companies to identify and take action to improve their ethical performance.

All our factories work to the ETI Base Code (Ethical Trading Initiative) and our large in-house QC & Technical staff in Manchester, London, Hong Kong and Shanghai enable us to continue working towards the goal of ensuring all our factories uphold the highest ethical standards.

Putting Something Back

As a successful business we place great importance on putting something back into the community and supporting charitable causes both locally and internationally.

For a number of years, three of our directors and a 40-strong team of colleagues have participated in the Great Manchester Run, with the result of boosting the coffers of Cancer Research by over £40,000.

Sanjay Kumar went on to run the Wilmslow half marathon raising £22,000 split between Alderhey Children’s Hospital, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Great Ormond Street & Christies.

Over the past 24 months we have made significant donations to a number of charities including: DEC Tsunami, Police Community Clubs of GB, The Outward Bound Trust, Marie Curie, Women’s India Association, Special Care Baby Unit, St. Francis De Sales Charities Group, CIDA, NSPCC, Bolton Lads & Girls, British Red Cross & Maggies Centre.

We have also become involved with PVR nest, an Indian initiative which aims to transform the lives and restore the dignity of street children through educational, social and cultural activities.
